Glock 48 Two Tone - The Glock 48 could be the perfect 9mm pistol for Glock fans and indeed all of us! READ WHY HERE
One of the biggest revolutions in pistol manufacturing is the polymer frame striker revolution. Glock was the leader and still dominates the market. Perhaps the Glock remains the first with the most. I have to say I'm not the biggest fan of the Glock but I'm definitely not against the Glock. The Glock is, in my opinion, an essential personal defense weapon and an excellent choice for many shooters. The Glock is as reliable as a pistol, easy enough to use, and accepts popular ammo. If you're spending less than a Glock, you should take a close look at the gun in question and identify which corners have been cut. If you're paying more than the Glock's affordable price point, you should be sure of an advantage. If you choose a more expensive pistol with a different trigger or manual safety, make sure you're prepared to master the pistol. Looking closely at the alternatives, the Glock looks good.

One of the new products is the 9mm Glock 48. I don't form an opinion on any weapon until I shoot it myself. As an example, I was intrigued to see the look of the Glock 19X, which some consider a bad idea. I like the 19X but I find the Glock 45 9mm better suited to my preference. As you shoot this piece and apply it on the range, the differences in pistols become more pronounced. For some it may be the reliable and fast Glock 19, others may prefer the longer Glock 17. All good. While testing the Glock 48, I expected certain things from any Glock in terms of reliability, trigger action, and accuracy, but kept an open mind.

The Glock 48 is about two ounces lighter than the Glock 19 9mm and is similar in size except for the thinner grip and slide. It looks like the gun has a stainless steel slide. The real material is nPVD silver plated. The sights are a standard plastic Glock variant with a white frame. They are well suited for self-defense shooting at distances of 5 to 15 yards and are still useful for those who train at long distances. Grip feels great. My hands are smaller than average, but I've had no trouble holding the Glock 17, 19, 22, and 23 and similar bezels (the Glock 21 is very tight). However, I feel more control with the Glock 48. The grip frame is covered in gravel and provides a good grip while shooting. The trigger action is standard for Glock Safe Action. My Glock 48 weighs 5.7 pounds. The pistol has notches for tilting forward. There is a slot under the front of the bolt for ease of movement. The muzzle has a beautifully shortened muzzle crown. The interested shooter will find many useful features in the Glock 48. The slim linear grip houses a relatively thin 10-round magazine.
Next, it was necessary to learn how he behaved when performing combat exercises and shooting for hits. The pistol was lightly oiled and delivered to the range with a set of cartridges. I used Federal American Eagle 124gn FMJ and Federal 124gn Syntech cartridges for most of my shots. I also had the Federal 124gn HST, Speer 115gn Gold Dot, Speer 124gn Gold Dot +P Short Barrel, Speer 147gn Gold Dot and Federal 135gn Hydra Shock. This mix included standard pressure and +P 9mm cartridges, as well as cannon ammunition. This should give you an idea of how the product handles all types of ammunition.
The Glock 48 came out of its holster fast and proved to be quick on the first shot. American Eagle and Syntech rounds I fired 100 rounds each in self-defense. The Glock is fast to use, very fast and that means a lot for personal protection. There were no failures of feeding, splitting, firing or launching. Handling isn't much different from the Glock 19 9mm. However, I would use the pistol more comfortably than the Glock 43, as the heavier action reduces recoil, and the longer grip also helps distribute the recoil in the palm of your hand.
Moving on to a bunch of personal protections, I found pretty much the same thing. Load selection is important for protection. While the 9mm caliber offers good injury potential, your choice should be based on rigorous testing and research. I prefer a load with a good balance of expansion and penetration. I fired at least one clip per JHP round and two for some other rounds. The pistol is well-tuned for a 6-hour hold and a 124-grain load. It also hits 147-grain loads on the spot. You can use lighter weights that are dead on the target. It was easy to unload the 10 and 15 yard magazines into the X ring. The recoil is more with the 9mm PSA, but the gun is controllable and overall enjoyable to shoot.
Is The Glock 48 The New \
The Speer 124-grain Gold Dot +P is a short-barreled load with a bullet designed to open at the slower velocities found in short-barreled personal defense pistols. It performs well in expansion and is a highly recommended combination for personal protection. I especially love the 135 Hydra Shocks, but each is their own. The Glock 48 will have the same speed as the Glock 19, Glock 19X, and Glock 45, but it feels like a smaller pistol in the hand, easier to hide, and still, as said, recoil is manageable. The pistol fired more than 300 rounds at first range with no complaints or pain in the wrists, with an interval of just over an hour and a half. According to some, the thinner grip puts more pressure on the palm than the Glock 19. In my opinion, the lighter Glock 43 9mm is a good shooter for its size, while the Glock 48 is a bit lighter to handle. The longer handle allows you to quickly gain grip.
I also fired from this barricade for maximum accuracy at 15 yards. I shot this drill with the American Eagle 124gn FMJ and Speer 147gn Gold Dot. I took several groups of 5 shots, fired quickly, but restored the aiming image after each shot. It wasn't hard to shoot with a 3-inch group of 5s, some 5-inch groups shot 2-inch. The pistol is as accurate as any 9mm Glock pistol.
Where does the Glock 48 fit in the diagram? The Glock 17 is a holstered pistol that some shooters carry with caution. The Glock 19 is easier to store - and is a good utility pistol overall. The Glock 48 is the best pistol for concealed carry. I think many shooters will find the Glock 19 too large for their hand size. I don't know, but for some shooters the Glock 48 might look better. But you don't miss the features too much, the pistol is ten shots. You're giving up the opportunity to build light rail, so consider how important this is to you. The Glock 48 fills the same niche as the SIG P225. Although the SIG P228 holds more rounds, many shooters preferred the thin line of the P225 for a comfortable fit in the hand and also felt it was faster when concealed carried. The Glock 48 is fast, very fast and has a high chance of hitting fast on the first shot. The Glock 19's extra two ounces of weight might help improve recoil control, but that's not easy to prove. I find the Glock 48 to be a very clean, attractive and useful pistol. Probably the best concealed carry Glock ever made.
The Glock 45 (top) has a wider grip than the Glock 48 (bottom), and both are covered in gravel. The G48 (along with the G43X) threatens to replace the G19 as Goldilocks upgrades to a mid-size Glock. Having secondary 15-round magazines from Shield Arms made it an even more attractive option for many Glock fans. But does the G48 really deserve the all-around Glock title? As always, the answer is complex.

I really like the Sig P365 XL. Naturally, many people ask me, "What about the Glock 48?" Or 43X? They are somewhat similar to Sig. They're not single-stacked in this category, but they're not exactly double-stacked either. They are good?
